Mission Statement

Our Mission...

Our mission is to help save our nearly extinct North Atlantic Right Whales by developing educational outreach programs for children in schools about our majestic whales and how each of us can help save our right whales before it’s too late by making one phone call to report sightings. We believe educational outreach programs will inspire children to become active whale warriors and become passionate future advocates for our aquatic friends of the sea who are facing extinction in our lifetime.

Our Goals...

Protect Whale Habitats

Identify and safeguard critical whale habitats (feeding grounds, breeding areas, migration routes). Reduce habitat destruction caused by human activities like coastal development and oil drilling.

Reduce Ship Strikes

Implement and enforce speed limits in areas with high whale populations. Promote the use of whale-detection technologies to prevent collisions.

Prevent Entanglement in Fishing Gear

Support the development and use of whale-safe fishing gear. Work with fishing industries to create guidelines and reduce ghost fishing.

Stop Whaling Practices

Strengthen international bans on commercial whaling. Raise awareness about the impact of illegal and unregulated whaling.

Raise Awareness and Education

Create programs to educate the public about whales’ ecological roles and threats they face. Engage local communities in conservation efforts.
